Reason, season, or lifetime Empty
PostSubject: Reason, season, or lifetime   Reason, season, or lifetime Icon_minitimeSun Apr 19, 2009 1:14 am

I do all that I do as for the Lord. My ultimate concern is not with this life, since it is temporary, but with the next, since it is forever.

My goal here is to do what I can, when I can, for whomever I can ... to make a difference for God's Kingdom.

I received this as a MySpace message, asking me to pass it on. Instead of simply passing it on, I am adding who and what I am as it relates to life.

- Eric.

A Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime

I am sending this to you to see how many actually read their comments. Your response will be interesting. Pay attention to what you read. After you have finished reading it, you will know the reason it was sent to you. Here goes:

-----------------

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON . . . It is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrong doing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.

Sometimes they die.
Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.

What we must realise is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered. And now it is time to move on.

When people come into your life for a SEASON . . . Because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thanks for posting this - very interesting and wise.

Personally I focus on this life, this now, as it will be with me for all eternity. I try not to concern myself with the afterlife so as not to make the afterlife a carrot before the horse.

I do believe what Joseph Campbell says (see his book "The Hero with a Thousand Faces"):

"This is it. If you don’t get it here, you won’t get it anywhere."

Concerning the Below paragraph

When someone is in your life for a REASON . . . It is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually.

Honestly I not very much agree that all people come to my life to assist me ...sometime they come to put me down or destroy me or......etc....may be there is a benefit i will gain behind this like knowing my weak points and strengthing them ...extra....

I evaluate this wisdom Very Happy . Keep the good work. Wink
