| 1: Be aware of your feelings, and if necessary, make a course correction. Your feelings are your GPS (Global Positioning System, for the non-techies) as far as creation is concerned. Feeling bad means you are moving away from what you want, feeling good means you are moving towards what you want. When you are feeling bad, you GPS is telling you that you are not focusing on your desire, but on the lack or absence of it. The remedy: gain renewed focus on what it is that you want, and do that until you feel good. Why do you want what you want? Why is it making you feel good? What will the end result give you? Think about that.
2: Let go of your attachment to the outcome. This is still an interesting one for myself, sometimes. When we set a goal, we focus on the final result (obviously). Where we often go off-track, is that we do not allow ourselves to feel good until we reach that final result. And even worse, we get completely frustrated and disappointed when we don't get the result, or don't get it soon enough. Of course, that defeats the whole purpose of setting our goal; the instant we feel bad, we -sort of- cancel our order, and start to focus on the absence of our desire. That's not going to get us what we want.
Like it to ordering a coffee: you really fancy a cup of coffee, so you place an order at the counter and take a seat somewhere. Joyfully expecting, you start to find it takes quite a while. And a while. And a while. After waiting an even longer while, you're now quite annoyed and leave the coffee shop, intending never to return to that stupid place again......How do you think you are ever going to get your coffee when you walk away????? But that is what we do when we start to feel bad in relationship to our desire! We run away from our "order".
Every self development guru will tell you it is not important what you get; what is important is the person you become in the process of working towards your goal. Can you stay focused on your desire without being attached to the outcome? That is where personal growth occurs. Not in the achievement of your goal as such. There is a Dutch saying which goes: possession is the end of pleasure. And it is true. Whatever you acquire, after a while it feels "normal" to have it, and then you want more. The remedy in this case: go for what you want, but let go of the attachment to it. Just focus on the process at hand, the steps you need to take now. Trust, know and have patience; if you have placed you order and it makes you feel good thinking about that, you can trust the result to come to you. You can just not set a specific time frame on it. The only thing I know: the better you feel, the sooner it will be there!
3. Appreciate your present position. This links in with point 2: you must, in order to feel good, be appreciative of what you already have, even while striving for more. If you are not happy with your current state, then thinking about what you could have will not make you feel great at all. It will only make you feel worse about your present circumstances! By whatever means possible, feel appreciation for yourself, your circumstances, your environment, for everything, really. If you then go for more, you will not get hung up on not having it yet, but can be joyful in expecting it. You can trust the Law of Attraction to bring the results to you, just as you can trust that day follows night.
Creation really is simple. So simple that we often exclaim it cannot be that simple. That is where we are off-track. We are not doing something wrong, we are just making a thought mistake. By applying the above three principles, you will start to see the results. As certain as you can be that throwing a ball up means it will come back down!..

| Nice written Miro. I would agree on this. You should check out spinozas notion about "the conatus", the desiring, affectinating immanent plane of human life. | |

| Ithaca
As you set out for Ithaca hope your road is a long one, full of adventure, full of discovery. Laistrygonians, Cyclops, angry Poseidon - don't be afraid of them: you' ll never find things like that on your way as long as you keep your thoughts raised high, as long as a rare excitement stirs your spirit and your body. Laistrygonians, Cyclops, wild Poseidon - you won't encounter them unless you bring them along inside your soul, unless your soul sets them up in front of you.
Hope your road is a long one. May there be many summer mornings when, with what pleasure, what joy, you enter harbours you're seeing for the first time; may you stop at Phoenician trading stations to buy fine things, mother of pearl and coral, amber and ebony, sensual perfume of every kind - as many sensual perfumes as you can; and may you visit many Egyptian cities to learn and go on learning from their scholars.
Keep Ithaca always in your mind. Arriving there is what you're destined for. But don't hurry the journey at all. Better if it lasts for years, so you're old by the time you reach the island, wealthy with all you've gained on the way, not expecting Ithaca to make you rich.
Ithaca gave you the marvelous journey. Without her you wouldn't have set out. She has nothing left to give you now. And if you find her poor, Ithaca won't have fooled you. Wise as you will have become, so full of experience, you'll have understood by then what these Ithakas mean.
K.Kavafis
Ithaca is a great Greek poem! It is indeed an island. He uses it as the goal someone sets and describes that the most important is what one sees in his way to Ithaca! Poseidon, Cyclops and so on are heroes from the Greek Mythology!
Enjoy the reading! | |

| That's a cool post Miro!
I have some questions though:
what is meant by creation?
focussing on desire? Aren't many desires in society unobtainable which, in turn, if not fulfiiled make us unhappy? maybe it depends your definition of desire.
But what if i don't know what I desire - how do i find that out?
Appreciating your present position sounds like the Buddhist practice of mindfullness, which is a kind of meditation on dwelling in the present, as i'm sure you know. I find a lot of these new spiritualists, or whatever they are called, borrow from Buddhism.

| Thank you Chrysippus !!. I will try to answer your questions and I hope I can reach the right answer you want to know.....
1) what is meant by creation?
We live in a world of creation. We, people, mastered the art of modifying our environment in an unprecedented way. We create. We give birth to thousands of worlds each day. We’re aggregating distinct pieces of information and matter and put them in incredible forms of living energy. And all of these things we create are there not only for us but for everybody who wants them.
If you create something beautiful for yourself chances are that somebody else will attract your thing too. If you do something good for yourself, chances are that you will increase the overall vibration of good stuff on a larger scale. Somebody else will feel that too. We’re not isolated and the Universe is not a black box from which we extract our happiness. We’re connected in an ocean of interactions and we create with every word and action.
If you have a personal mission and believe in it with all your heart, then do it. Follow your dreams, because they’re part of something bigger than you. Somebody else will need what you do. Don’t run for a walked path, walk your own. In the process of creating your own path, you will also create things that somebody else wants. You may not even know that there is such a person. You may not even find out if what you did had an impact on somebody else. All you can do is to focus on giving your best.
2) focussing on desire? Aren't many desires in society unobtainable which, in turn, if not fulfiiled make us unhappy? maybe it depends your definition of desire.
But what if i don't know what I desire - how do i find that out?
Desire is a personal choice. Desire denotes something good, something with hope attached to it. Something that shines at the end of a tunnel that you have constructed in your mind. Or maybe you feel indifferent to it, like something held out of reach.
desire is something you WANT. If I held out a box & told you that in this box I have everything you desire, would you believe me? Of course not. But not because of the size of the box, but because you know that I have never met you and I could not possibly know what it is that you desire! The problem is that most people do not fully know exactly what it is they want either, much less know how to get it!
Most people are too busy thinking about what it is they don't want, don't have, can't achieve, what might happen if. It's a lot of energy going towards all of these don't, can't, what ifs, and what they want to go away (bills, pain, hard work etc) when they really should focusing on the- How nice it will be when.
Leading a balanced life takes work, reflection, and a great deal of self-awareness. Invest a small amount of time out of your day to reflect upon your life and ensure it is heading down the road that leads to your most important goals.
Appreciating your present position sounds like the Buddhist practice of mindfullness, which is a kind of meditation on dwelling in the present, as i'm sure you know. I find a lot of these new spiritualists, or whatever they are called, borrow from Buddhism.
Actually you are right , some are borrowed from buddhism . It's not wrong to learn about good helpful things wherever they come from . Although some people won't agree with what I say " as The bee gets the honey from different flowers , I like to search for perfection from different beliefs !!" :)

| Thx Miro! thats an inspiring piece. But i have some questions to ask.
first, how to control our mind? i understand that our interpretation to the world creates concepts of everything. thats called creation. but can we deliberately alter the way of thought? as i observed, the way ppl think is built upon the experiances given by the others, say, from histories, books, ppl we met, events that happen everyday etc. These are all sorts of inputs that come into our mind and processes. So, is it possible to keep our mind in the state of happiness?
Second, as the feeling of happiness is a matter of relativity, if we are always happy, wt is the difference between happy and unhappy? At least, could we have as much joy as unexpcted outcomes appear having a unreached desire?Sometimes happiness comes after overcoming pains.
Third, could we possibly focus on the process, but not the outcome? i think its like a road. We must have a destination before it comes a path right? we cant see every steps we talk as the goal as doing this will bring us to nowhere or off-track. I think everyone needs a goal in order to find the direction that drives them forward. Thats why it is not easy not to think about the outcome. The process is there only when u look back striving towards the outcome isnt it?
Could our thoughts be that perfect? is it not good to have imperfect thoughts? That's wt i am thinking.

| Thanks Wing !
About your first question, how to control our mind?.is it possible to keep our mind in the state of happiness?
When we stay stuck in negative thoughts, we restrict the flow of the pure, positive, creative life energy that is constantly streaming to us from the universe. So, just as our bodies would respond negatively to the restriction of oxygen, our lives and spirits respond negatively to the restriction of this pure positive energy when we are caught in negative thinking. We can control how much pure positive energy comes to us by the way we think. We can learn to master this powerful energy and be masters of our lives.
Let's look at example to illustrate this point. Suppose you want very much to develop a loving relationship with someone, but somehow you can never seem to get it to happen. If you honestly examine your thoughts about this subject, you will, for sure, find that you have thoughts that oppose your desire for companionship: i.e., feelings of being unworthy of love, feelings that your freedom would be restricted, etc.
But know that these thoughts, no matter how habitual and deeply ingrained, can be changed. As they are faced and seen for what they are, then embraced and accepted, they can gradually be replaced, thus bringing about the desired change.
The bottom line is this: you cannot expect to receive what you want when the way you feel deep, down inside is its opposite. When you feel unworthy of love, you cannot attract a companion; when you feel poor, you cannot attract prosperity; when you feel overweight, you cannot attract slimness; when you fear illness, you cannot attract health.
Yes, your habit of getting stuck in thoughts is years old; and habits can be quite tenacious. Yet, you can learn to gain mastery over your thoughts. This can be done simply by cultivating a constant awareness of how you feel. For when you realize that you are feeling "off," it is a sure sign that your thoughts are "off," too, and that you are attracting into your experience what you do not want.
So, to change this feeling, trace back and determine what thoughts created the feeling. Then gradually change your thought pattern from a negative one to a positive one. This will then change your vibration. And in time you will manifest what you really want.
Second question could we have as much joy as unexpcted outcomes appear having a unreached desire?
it all depends on where your focus is and what attitude you choose to bring to this moment. At no point in time has it been more important to manage your mental state and choose where your mind goes and what you are focusing on. What ever is happening in your world right now you have one tool that is very powerful – the free will to choose your attitude to what is going on around you. One thing you can do is to stop making it personal to you.
Third question could we possibly focus on the process, but not the outcome?
In making our progress we need to clear the mind of old, useless thoughts. We need to be aware of them and deal with them appropriately. These thoughts can be mental images, sounds, etc, and also language. Our minds can generalise and the troublesome thinking might be extremely abstract generalisations.
By clearing the mind of this debris and replacing old, useless procedures with useful ones we can begin to make spiritual progress, and begin to learn about our true nature. Minds are useful, but not minds filled with garbage. The answer isn't to throw out the mind, but to clean it up and put the right data in it this time!
